There are lots of great entrepreneur blogs and resources on the Internet. One of my early New Year’s Resolutions is to read more of them.

While looking at some blog posts recently, I found out about an interesting entrepreneur training program taking place right here in Ohio. In this program, the Youngstown Business Incubator and Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration are partnering to begin an internship program in Youngstown, to help each participant become a successful entrepreneur.

Four interns were chosen for this semester; each will work for 225 hours and receive a salary while learning how to become a successful entrepreneur who can in turn someday give back to the community through the businesses they will start. This entrepreneur training program will continue past this semester, giving even more students a chance to be innovative.

I learned about this program by reading a post found at The Northeast Ohio Incubator Collaborative (NEOinc) blog. This organization, according to its About Us section, “provides coordinated services to entrepreneurs desiring to start technology-oriented businesses in the 21 counties of NE Ohio. It was formed by several of the Edison funded incubators and technology centers in NE Ohio; namely The Akron Global Business Accelerator, Braintree Partners in Mansfield, the Great Lakes Incubator for Developing Enterprises (GLIDE) in Lorain County, the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET) Incubator in Cuyahoga County, and the Youngstown Business Incubator.”
